Hello, I’m Lynne. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have spent more than 20 years providing supportive counseling and coaching to help people achieve their goals. I have been married for 27 years and have 3 (nearly!) grown children. I understand the challenges of raising a family, specifically how women function in families and in the workplace.
My path to becoming a therapist was not a straight one. But, I have found, few paths are! I always had an interest in psychology. Although I entertained careers in art history and law, I found social work, getting a Masters degree in Social Work and my professional license almost 20 years ago. I worked both with families and children and in Corporate Employee Assistance Programs. Then I jumped way off the path and starting a business with my husband. I suddenly became an accountant, a marketer, and finally found my niche doing professional coaching, team building, and handling employee wellness and mental health issues. It was a stretch – I am not a risk taker! I plot and plan and rarely am spontaneous, but I did it. I challenged myself, learned new things, and stepped way out of my comfort zone.
I am so excited to be working as a therapist once again. We all face challenges, uncertainties, and worries, and whether we like it or not, we get pushed out of our comfort zone. My goal as a therapist is to provide a responsive, safe space to process issues that arise. I help individuals develop healthy coping strategies and make positive changes in their lives in a collaborative way. I use my combination of professional training, work history, and life experience to serve you with compassion and understanding.
