Gratitude and Emmit

I adopted a dog this week and his name is Emmit. He’s a 7-year-old border collie and cute as can be.  We’re learning about each other and it’s such fun! I have to admit he’s a bit of a hot mess to look at right now- it looks like he hasn’t had a haircut since before the pandemic and I had to give him 3 baths because he was super stinky. Then I was a hot mess. Life has a funny way of bringing what you need at just the right time. I needed Emmit and he needed me.   Has that kind of thing happened in your life? When something or someone comes into your life unexpectedly and you find yourself surprised and a little undone at the rightness of it? That’s how I feel about Emmit. I am feeling deeply grateful for our togetherness and lately I often forget to be grateful. I forget to enjoy the good things. I want to be more intentional with my practice of gratitude. I want to notice the small goodnesses of everyday and acknowledge them, hold them in my heart, and invite the presence of gratitude into my day. If you would like a space to learn how to recognize the moments in your life where the light of gratitude could shine, we can help. I’m grateful for you.   Michele
