Couples Therapy

We all have difficulties at some point in our relationships. But where do you turn when the person you go to with problems feels like the problem?

We work with couples in different relationship and life stages to resolve hurts, deepen intimacy, and grow together.

Children and Adolescent Therapy

We welcome children of all ages with anxiety, depression, ADHD, peer relationships, and more.

Navigating everything a child needs to in order flourish can feel like a lot! We work with children and adolescents and their parents and caregivers to overcome obstacles.

Trauma and Stress Reactions

We all have things that happen in our lives. Sometimes things happen that overwhelm our normal resilience and ability to cope.

The very normal mental, physical, and emotional reactions we have to traumatic events might leave you feeling not yourself or even weak for not being able to "handle it." When the reactions and feelings are interfering with your relationships or day to day life, we can help give you tools to get back on track.

Integrative Mental Health

Integrative mental health addresses mental/emotional issues from a holistic perspective.

The mental health issues we struggle with often have physical or spiritual components as well. All of these issues respond well to changes in how we treat our bodies and our relationships with others and with God.

By looking at the whole person in their whole context, greater and more effective long term healing and growth is possible.

Walk and Talk Therapy

Sitting in even the nicest office might feel intimidating or confining.

Sometimes it’s easier to talk to someone when you are walking together.

We can take your therapy outdoors. Movement and nature help relieve symptoms of depression, anxiety, and traumatic stress. By taking advantage of nearby parks and trails, we get the benefits of fresh air and physical movement. Often it becomes easier to release feelings or think outside the box.

Clinical Supervision

Clinical supervision is an important aspect of becoming a skilled therapist.

Susan Stewart offers individual and group supervision for those working toward licensure as marriage and family therapists or professional counselors.
