Hello!

Hello to all the Whole and Holy community, My name is Olga Baron-Lamma and I am a new therapist at Whole and Holy. I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself and share a little more about who I am. I am a Marriage and Family therapist with a heart to serve individuals, families, children, and couples. I was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. When I was 14 years old I moved to Puerto Rico with my father and his wife, and when I was 18, I moved to Pennsylvania with my sister and her family. I was able to earn my high school diploma and start college while still learning a second language. In my last year of high school, I moved to the Millersville International House, where I was exposed to many cultures and where I learned to see the world with different eyes. All the changes, moves, and experiences I have had have shaped me into the person that I am today. Moving from different family homes to a house full of international students helped me to become aware that sometimes people are faced with difficult, unexpected, and drastic changes. Furthermore, learning to manage those changes in a positive way takes self-awareness, disposition, and realization that we might need support, guidance, understanding, and even professional help in some cases. It takes courage to recognize that we need help, to have someone else to hear us and help us untangled the perplexity of life. That is when my passion and desire to utilize the gifts I have been given turned into the vision and goal to become a helping hand that works to untangle the mental, spiritual, and emotional difficulties in the lives of others. But my heart has been set on two specific groups of people: the young flexible hearts, minds, and souls of children and teens; and the excitable hearts of couples who wish to get married. I consider it an investment to help children learn skills for facing difficult times and help them become aware of their feelings, emotions, and thoughts, allowing them to become the best versions of themselves even when they are faced with hardships. I also believe that providing guidance and support to couples who are getting ready to be married it is an important step in healthy and long-lasting marriages. My own personal and professional experiences have led me here. It took me a while to become aware of my own passion and to learn to utilize my gifts in productive ways. I thought I wanted to be a lawyer and while going to college I realized that it was not my path. Therefore, I took a break from college and started working in the education field. I gained six years of experience working in schools, serving kids and parents. This experience allowed me to find the correct path in my own education. I earned my psychology degree from Messiah College and my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Evangelical Theological Seminary. While attaining my master’s program I got married and had my now two-year-old daughter. Now I am here ready to serve and walk alongside anyone looking for support here at Whole and Holy.
