Ashley McLaughlin, MSW, LSW
I have been happily married for three years and recently became a mom. It has been one of the greatest joys while also being one of the most difficult challenges I have experienced. In my free time you will catch me spending time with my family and friends, playing with our dog or spending time outside. To decompress, I enjoy working out or going for walks to get some sunshine and fresh air. I also find that organizing my house and creating systems for myself helps me with keeping my mind clear, which has become my own philosophy.
I've enjoyed working with many different groups of people. I started my career working with older adults in the healthcare setting and transitioned to working with children and adolescents in the school setting. I know how important it is to have support through life's changes and challenges, having someone walk with you to find and grow your strength to overcome and persevere. If you feel your life is disorganized, when you're struggling with major life transitions, I'd love to help you get your feet on the right path.
My style is a strengths based approach while also integrating in a variety of modalities. Some of these modalities are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and self compassion interviews. I believe in integrating physical health, mental health and faith into my therapy practice as well.
